Yoona will be Lee Jong Suk’s wife in the new drama. A beautiful wife, frustrated with her husband’s lack of ambition, becomes selfish and sour but is ready to find ways to help when her man is in danger.
On September 1, Yoona (SNSD) and Lee Jong Suk confirmed to participate in tvN’s new drama called Big Mouth.
Big Mouth is a legal-themed film that marks the return after a long absence of the screen of “beautiful man” Lee Jong Suk. For Yoona, this is her 5th role this year.
In the drama, Lee Jong Suk plays Park Chang Ho, a third-rate lawyer with a 10% success rate. He was so poor that he couldn’t pay his monthly office rent or his salary on time for his office assistant, who is also his father-in-law. Because he often talks but does not act, Park is nicknamed “the braggart” (Big Mouth). One day, Park is mistaken for a genius con artist nicknamed “Big Mouse” and gets caught up in a murder case. Discovering many hidden truths has put him and his family in many dangerous situations.
Meanwhile, Yoona (SNSD) plays nurse Go Mi Ho – the wife of Park Chang Ho (Lee Jong Suk), who brought Park to become a lawyer. In college, Go was famous for being beautiful, elegant, and confident. However, after marrying Park Chang Ho – a man who lacks ambition, she gradually becomes selfish, sour and irritable. Even so, when her husband was mistaken for a scammer, she also found ways to help him wash away his suspicions.
Big Mouth was written by rookie screenwriter Haram, with the support of Jang Young Chul and Jung Kyung Soon – the scripting duo that made successful for TV series such as Empress Ki, Vagabond and Director Oh Choong Hwan, the man behind When You Were Sleeping, Hotel del Luna, and Start-up. The film is slated to air in 2022.
