KBS received mixed reactions when re-broadcasting the passionate kiss scene of Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki.
On March 3 (local time), KBS prepared a special concert titled “Your KBS, Our 50 Years” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the television station. The performances were broadcast live on KBS 1TV.
The special concert was organized by actors Choi Soo Jong, Chae Shi Ra and comedian Kang Ho Dong. A lot of performances were prepared and singer Gummy appeared on stage to sing the OST “You Are My Everything” of the 2016 hit drama “Descendants of the Sun”.
KBS decided to show the passionate kiss scene of Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki in the movie. This received mixed reactions when the main actor of “Descendants of the Sun” started dating after the movie and got married in 2017. Unfortunately, the two decided to go their separate ways after 1 year and 9 months. and divorced in 2019.
Although “Descendants of the Sun” is a hit movie, many netizens pointed out that showing the two’s passionate kiss scene was the lack of consideration by KBS, especially when Song Joong Ki recently married Katy Louise Sanders.
